Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains, Meleece graduated with a Masters in Music from Brigham Young University, but there was always a book hidden on her music stand.
She won a National Endowment for the Arts Writing Award where her memoir Water Stories was published.
Now she lives in Minnesota with her best friend, their four indomitable children, and two dragons.
